The 26th annual National Oyster Festival 2026 kicked off this afternoon on Bucerías beach and will continue throughout the weekend.
During the event, oyster farmers will be giving away 10,000 oysters and 500 kilos of fish ceviche to attendees, which they began preparing days ago.
Every year, the clam divers organize this festival, supported by the municipality’s Economic Development Department, which highlighted its importance to the local economy.
An estimated 25,000 people are expected to attend, and the festival will feature cultural activities and live band and reggae music.
