In line with the economic dynamism that characterizes the state, Banregio opened a new branch in the El Refugio residential development, in the eastern part of the city, one of the areas with the highest residential and commercial growth in the capital of Querétaro.
With this opening, the financial institution now has six branches in the metropolitan area and seven throughout the state, consolidating its presence in a market that has gained importance within the national business landscape.
The new branch is located on the Fray Junípero Serra Ring Road II, a key thoroughfare due to its connectivity, and aims to serve both businesses and individuals who live or work in areas such as El Refugio, La Pradera, La Vista, and Villa Carriedo.

According to the institution, the decision to strengthen its presence in the state is based on an analysis of the local economic environment. Santiago de Querétaro has established itself as a hub of opportunity, concentrating a significant portion of the state’s SMEs and registering sustained growth in sectors such as hospitality, restaurants, and construction. This context has allowed Banregio to strengthen its position in key segments, supporting the development of companies that drive regional economic activity.
In this regard, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are emerging as a key segment. This sector is highly fragmented and has still limited levels of financial penetration, which opens opportunities for the development of more specialized solutions.
The opening of this branch is part of Banregio’s strategy to expand its coverage, strengthen its relationship with local clients, and diversify its portfolio in regions with high economic potential.
Looking ahead, the institution plans to continue its growth in the state by opening new branches, in line with the evolution of productive activity and urban development in Querétaro.
