A triple homicide occurred Wednesday afternoon near the municipality of San Francisco Lachigoló, a suburb of Oaxaca City, confirmed the Oaxaca State Attorney General’s Office (FGEO), which added that the perpetrators have been identified.
“The FGEO’s investigation indicates that those responsible are part of a criminal cell operating in the area where the events took place,” the agency stated in a press release, noting that the incident occurred at a motel located in the aforementioned municipality.
Inside the establishment, located on Federal Highway 190 Oaxaca-Isthmus, the bodies of three men with gunshot wounds were found. Members of the Central Valleys High Impact Unit arrived at the scene.
Based on the initial investigation, the identities of two individuals have been determined as the alleged perpetrators of the triple homicide.
Security was also reportedly reinforced in the area due to the possible presence of members of a criminal cell who may have committed this crime.
