With the goal of positioning the region as a leading destination for culinary tourism, the Carnivore Fest 2026 was presented. This event will bring together grill masters, live music, and a wide array of culinary offerings centered around barbecue.
During the press conference, businessman and organizer Daniel Pérez Murillo emphasized that this festival aims to establish itself as a comprehensive experience combining gastronomy, entertainment, and family fun.
“It’s a festival that brings together the best of gastronomy, music, and atmosphere in one place, where fire, meat, and music become an experience,” he stated.
The event will take place on June 6th at Rancho El Pitayo, with activities beginning on the evening of June 5th with the lighting of the grill, marking the start of the culinary experience.
In his remarks, Pérez Murillo explained that the festival will feature grill masters from Mexico and abroad, as well as a competition among 16 teams, which will enhance the event’s prestige and national reach.
He also emphasized that the Carnivore Fest will have a significant impact on the local economy, with an estimated attendance of up to 10,000 people and an economic impact of nearly 10 million pesos.
Regarding the culinary experience, the organizers announced that more than two tons of meat will be offered, including spit-roasted cuts, suckling pigs, discadas (a type of Mexican dish cooked on a discada), and the roasting of a whole cow weighing approximately 400 kilograms.
“All the protein we use is certified… everything will be prepared for the festival in the best possible way,” the organizer stated, highlighting that there will be health and safety monitoring throughout the event.
The festival will also include four tasting areas, as well as musical performances by groups such as Banda Tierra Sagrada, Diamante Negro, and DJ Axl, reinforcing its status as a large-scale event.
Finally, the organizers noted that this project has the support of business chambers and tourism authorities, with the aim of promoting barbecue as a culinary tradition and creating new experiences for visitors and locals alike.
With this initiative, Carnívoro Fest seeks to establish itself as a new benchmark on Querétaro’s gastronomic events calendar.
