During the Easter holiday season, the main tourist destinations on the Oaxaca coast, Huatulco Bays and Puerto Escondido, reported a cumulative economic impact of over 700 million pesos.
From March 30 to April 12, these destinations attracted a total of 132,631 visitors, solidifying their position as the most popular among tourists.

Huatulco Bays reached a hotel occupancy rate of 80.42 percent, generating an economic impact of 544 million pesos, representing an increase of 40 million pesos compared to 2015. The destination welcomed 60,438 visitors, 2,493 more than the previous year.
For its part, Puerto Escondido reported a hotel occupancy rate of 62.47 percent, with an economic impact of 160 million pesos, 19 million pesos more than in 2015. The port welcomed 72,193 visitors, 7,174 more than last year.
