Progressive leaders meet in Barcelona to advance global agenda

The city of Barcelona is hosting the World Progressive Mobilization on April 17 and 18, a gathering that brings together presidents and left-wing leaders from Latin America, Europe, and other regions.

Among the participants are:

Claudia Sheinbaum, President of Mexico
Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil
Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia
Yamandu Orsi, President of Uruguay
Pedro Sánchez, President of the Spanish Government and host.
The event aims to analyze current challenges and build a political counterweight to the growth of conservative and far-right forces in various regions.
Other participants include figures such as Gabriel Boric, Cyril Ramaphosa, and António Costa, as well as legislators and representatives of progressive parties from different countries.

The summit is part of a broader agenda that includes the IV Summit in Defense of Democracy and an international forum with political organizations.
