The State Government, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Mobility (SEIDUM), announced in a press release that, as part of the improvement work on the Colima-Manzanillo highway, the highway connecting the capital with the port will be completely closed at kilometer 20+400 in the area known as La Salada.

Traffic will be suspended this Saturday, April 18, Sunday, April 19, and Monday, April 20, from midnight to 5:00 a.m., to allow for lane expansion and improvements to the highway infrastructure in the Colima-Manzanillo Logistics Corridor.

It is important to note that heavy cargo transport will not be permitted on any roadway, while light vehicles and passenger buses must use alternate routes to the municipalities of Manzanillo, Armería, Tecomán, or Ixtlahuacán.

Alternatively, authorities recommend using the free highway and consulting available routes on the official website https://rutasalternas.col.gob.mx/. The public is urged to plan their trips in advance and follow the instructions of personnel to ensure everyone’s safety.
