Personnel from the Mexican Navy (Semar), through the Fourth Naval Zone, successfully rescued four people adrift after their vessel began taking on water near San Francisquito Island.
The emergency was activated after a distress call was received and coordinated between the Regional Port Authority and the State C4 Command Center. Upon confirming that the yacht was in distress, the Naval Search, Rescue, and Maritime Surveillance Station (ENSAR) ordered the immediate deployment of a Defender-class vessel.
Upon arrival, specialized rescue swimmers performed approach maneuvers to extract the crew members from the stricken vessel. Once safely aboard the official vessel, they were transported to the Fourth Naval Zone dock in La Paz.
After arriving on land, Naval Medical personnel conducted a complete medical evaluation of the rescued individuals. Authorities reported that no one sustained injuries or health complications, so the incident concluded without incident.
