To address the emergency, the Security Cabinet has been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation to clarify the causes of the attack. Sheinbaum emphasized that the primary objective is to provide all necessary support to those injured during the crisis at the Pyramid of the Moon.

It was also confirmed that specialized personnel from the Ministry of the Interior (SEGOB) and the Ministry of Culture have been deployed to the State of Mexico. These teams are tasked with providing comprehensive support and assistance to visitors, working in conjunction with state and municipal authorities.

The Mexican Security Cabinet detailed in a technical report that the operational deployment included members of the State of Mexico Security Secretariat and the National Guard. The immediate intervention allowed for securing the perimeter after reports of gunfire within the archaeological site.

According to preliminary information provided by federal authorities, the assailant fired multiple shots before taking his own life at the scene. This update confirms that the attacker is one of the two people killed during the violent incident at the archaeological site.
