Mexico is among the OECD countries with the highest tax burden

Under Claudia Sheinbaum’s leadership, Mexico ranks among the seven countries in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) that pay the highest taxes. The organization indicates that there has been an increase in the tax burden and enormous losses in purchasing power, resulting in taxes eroding workers’ wages. Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom, among others, also appear on this list.
