Where is gasoline cheapest in Yucatán? Updated list from Profeco

Once again, gasoline prices in Yucatán are fluctuating. According to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco), the state has both some of the lowest and some of the highest prices in the Southeast region.

This was reported by César Iván Escalante Ruiz, head of Profeco, during the segment “Who’s Who in Gasoline Prices?”, where he specified that Yucatán generally has the lowest prices in the region.

Regarding regular gasoline, the municipality of Umán has the lowest price at 23.90 pesos per liter, with a margin of 1.81 pesos. In contrast, Cancún has the highest price at 24.70 pesos.

Regarding premium gasoline, the lowest price in the Southeast is found in Kinchil, where it sells for 27.29 pesos per liter, with a margin of 1.72 pesos. Conversely, Mérida has the highest price, reaching 28.99 pesos, with a margin of 3.11 pesos.

Data released by Profeco confirms the price increase of tomatoes, lemons, and onions, among other items.

Finally, in the case of diesel, the lowest cost is reported in Mérida, at 28.20 pesos per liter with a margin of 1.46 pesos; while the highest is found in Cancún, where it reaches 29.95 pesos, with a margin of 2.75 pesos.
