Construction and remodeling work continues on the Chapala Highway

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation announced that it will begin road maintenance work on the Guadalajara-Chapala highway starting this Tuesday, April 28, from kilometer 16+600 to 25+800, between the El Salto and Santa Rosa junctions.

The work will be carried out from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the lanes heading towards Chapala, as the technique used requires the sun’s heat for the proper drying of the material.

How long will this work take?

This will ensure the protection of the existing asphalt pavement and will include the application of micro-surfacing to improve the road surface.

Authorities indicated that the work will last approximately three weeks and asked motorists to respect traffic signs and speed limits to avoid accidents and allow for the safe completion of the work.
