The Los Cabos Municipal Health Institute has officially launched a massive, free canine and feline sterilization campaign that will operate throughout May in various areas of the municipality. This initiative aims to mitigate public health risks stemming from animal overpopulation. The authorities have deployed specialized medical teams that will visit strategic neighborhoods in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

The director of the Municipal Health Institute, Dr. Juan Carlos Costich Pérez, stated that the schedule has been designed to provide equitable service to all areas of the municipality.

The campaign will officially begin in the Cabo San Lucas delegation, specifically in the Los Cangrejos neighborhood, on May 5th. Subsequent efforts will focus on the Tierra y Libertad neighborhood on May 13th, 20th, and 27th, ensuring broad coverage in this sector.

In San José del Cabo, the campaigns will begin in the Pablo L. Martínez neighborhood on May 7, continuing in Santa Anita on the 14th, Santa Catarina on the 21st, and concluding in the San Bernabé neighborhood on May 28. It is worth noting that, in addition to the surgeries, rabies vaccinations will be administered to strengthen the local health program and prevent the spread of zoonotic diseases in the community.

Costich Pérez indicated that the WhatsApp number (624) 240-6945 has been set up so that interested individuals can schedule their appointments in an organized and efficient manner starting at 8:00 a.m. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this institutional opportunity, and it is important to remember that active participation in these campaigns is a fundamental step in consolidating Los Cabos as a leading municipality in animal welfare and civic responsibility.
