Texas medical institutions agree to medical cooperation with Durango

Durango will have access to improved healthcare services and new opportunities for specialized care, thanks to collaborative agreements with medical institutions in Texas, reported Health Secretary Moisés Nájera Torres, following his working visit to that state.

The Secretary explained that this partnership also confirms the support of these institutions for the work being carried out in Durango by Esteban Villegas and Marisol Rosso, president of the State DIF (National System for Integral Family Development). He also highlighted the opportunities for collaboration in pediatric orthopedics campaigns, prosthesis donations, and the training of physicians through rotations in medicine and physical rehabilitation.

At the Scottish Rite Children’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center, he met with Tabetha Rowe and Kelsey Thompson, a prosthetist and orthopedist, respectively, who reiterated their willingness to create support programs that will translate into direct benefits for the health and well-being of Durango families.

At the Mansfield Methodist Medical Center, he met with Jennifer Minor, the institute’s administrator, who has over 17 years of experience in medical care, particularly in advanced trauma, neonatal care, and maternal subspecialties—areas that could generate significant benefits for Durango.

Moisés Nájera Torres emphasized that, following this visit, collaboration agreements will be drafted with these medical institutions, which will provide certainty to the agreements and strengthen cooperation with Durango.
