Fonatur Launches Public Tender for Land Lots in Huatulco, Oaxaca

The process includes a framework that provides legal certainty with clear procedures and facilitates investor participation through defined rules and robust institutional mechanisms.
The tender will be held on April 20th, under an open and equitable system.
The National Fund for Tourism Development (Fonatur) today launched Public Tender No. FONATUR-LP-DC-001-2026 for land lots in the Huatulco Integrated Planned Center (CIP), Oaxaca. This institutional action is aimed at responsibly and transparently managing its tourism assets, promoting productive investment, and strengthening regional development.

In this way, Fonatur is making available new land with tourism, residential, and commercial potential, located in one of the country’s most established tourist destinations. Each lot offers conditions that allow for the development of projects aligned with territorial planning and the orderly growth of the area.

The process will take place in Bahías de Huatulco, Oaxaca. Pre-registration will be open from April 6 to 17, during which time interested parties can express their intention to participate. A Clarification Meeting will be held on April 16 and 17 to provide clarity, answer questions, and ensure equitable conditions for all participants.

The bidding process will be held on Monday, April 20, through a transparent and competitive process without intermediaries to guarantee equal opportunities for individuals and legal entities.

The bidding for lots in Huatulco contributes to boosting investment, launching strategic projects, and generating economic development in the region, consolidating Fonatur’s role as a key player in tourism planning and promotion in Mexico.
