“Go back to your neighborhood”: Argentinian chases Mexican vendor and his stall in Tulum; outrageous incident

Mexico is often known for the warmth with which it welcomes its visitors, especially in its world-famous beach areas.

The truth is that the natural beauty of the Aztec lands has generated a massive influx of foreigners seeking to settle here; however, an Argentinian man has become the subject of conversation for the way he treated a Mexican vendor.

What happened in Tulum?

It all happened in a matter of seconds; just 40 seconds were enough for the public to erupt in outrage against the man in question, whom they accused of subjecting the vendor to disrespectful treatment. He was subsequently removed from the area.

The incident was reportedly recorded outside one of the most exclusive areas in Tulum, a popular destination for foreigners. The video shows a man, apparently selling food, being forced out.

The video was filmed by an Argentinian man who was walking with his pet early in the morning. The truth is, when he saw a motorcycle adapted as a tricycle approaching, he stopped it, claiming that such vehicles weren’t allowed in that area.

“You can’t come through here, you can’t ride a motorcycle here. You know that very well, go back the way you came. Go on. You know very well that you’re not allowed here. It’s happening where I live, I’m going to post it on social media, look at the license plate. Go on, you don’t live here, go back to your neighborhood, go back to your community, don’t come back here.” He told him to go back the way he came and proceeded to block his path so he could reverse. Then he recorded the license plate to expose him and told him that since he wasn’t a resident of the place, he had to leave.

The man then went back to leave the area. It’s unclear whether he was able to resume his business activities in the area or if he had to find another place to sell his goods for the day.

The footage has been heavily criticized by viewers, who are calling for an end to foreigners who show contempt or mistreat Mexicans in their country. The identity of the Argentinian in question is also uncertain.
