In 2026, the grand Oaxacan festival, also known as “Lunes del Cerro” (Monday on the Hill), will take place between July 20th and 27th, and ticket sales are about to begin.
When do tickets for the 2026 Guelaguetza go on sale?
Tickets for the 2026 Guelaguetza are for sections A and B of the venue (as these are the sections closest to the stage); while sections C and D, located in the upper part of the stadium, will be free.
The presale will begin on May 15th at 9:00 a.m. through the online platform superboletos.com. While regular ticket sales for the 2026 Guelaguetza will begin on June 1st through the same online platform.
According to Oaxaca’s Secretary of Tourism, Saymi Pineda Velasco, this year sales will be exclusively online to prevent resale.
Presale tickets represent 15% of the total tickets, while the remaining 85% will be available through regular sales.
How much do tickets for the Guelaguetza cost?
Presale prices on May 15, 2026:
Section A: 1,476 pesos
Section B: 1,166 pesos
Banamex cardholders can purchase their tickets on credit with interest-free monthly payments.
Regular sale price starting June 1, 2026:
Section A: 1,632 pesos
Section B: 1,321 pesos
Those interested can purchase their tickets with any credit or debit card at the established prices plus service charges.

Where will the Guelaguetza festival be held in Oaxaca?
The 94th edition of the Guelaguetza will take place at the Guelaguetza Auditorium, located on Cerro del Fortín
Delegations from the eight regions of the state will participate in this grand event, sharing their dances, traditional costumes, and rituals.
Performances will be held at two times: 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on July 20 and 27, 2026.

The Guelaguetza is the largest and most representative festival in Oaxaca. This festival, of colonial origin, is a celebration where people from different towns and regions of Oaxaca traditionally strengthen their bonds of brotherhood through the cultural exchange of rituals, dances, and offerings.
It is usually celebrated on the last two Mondays of July, so the dates vary each year.
Today, it is the greatest cultural expression of Oaxaca and one of the most important festivals in Mexico.
