A large deployment of agents from the State Public Security Secretariat (SSP) and the Municipal Police was reported in Tizimín after a man threw a Molotov cocktail at a property located on 56th Street between 53rd and 57th Streets in the city center.
Initial reports indicate that a young man parked his motorcycle in front of his house, but minutes later noticed a man suspiciously watching the vehicle. When he questioned him, the man ran away.
Minutes later, the same man returned on a motorcycle with an accomplice and threw a Molotov cocktail at the door of the young man’s house.
After the attack, the victim immediately alerted the Municipal Police, whose officers arrived at the scene, documented the incident, and immediately launched an operation to find those responsible. So far, the perpetrators have not been located or apprehended.
