Discover everything Querétaro will offer during the World Cup season
Mexico City has been filled with the colors, aromas, and textures of the Bajío region. At Punto México — the dynamic cultural and tourism space operated by Mexico’s federal tourism authorities — Querétaro arrived with one of its most ambitious and innovative showcases yet.
Through sensory dining experiences, nighttime vineyard celebrations, sports tourism, and a growing film industry, Querétaro is positioning itself as one of the country’s most modern and multifaceted destinations.
“Sentidos Vivos”: cuisine you can feel and share
Querétaro’s gastronomy is meant to be experienced not only with taste, but with emotion. During the event at Punto México, the state officially presented Sentidos Vivos (“Living Senses”), an innovative culinary project designed around universal accessibility.
The initiative recently received the Mexican Tourism Product Innovation Award in the Inclusive Tourism category during the Tianguis Turístico Acapulco 2026.
Created by tourism operator Mónica Bustamante, chef Israel Soriano Rodríguez, and guide Alejandro Camacho — who lives with visual impairment — the experience invites diners to wear blindfolds while being guided through an immersive sensory journey.
Without sight, smell, taste, and touch become the stars of the experience. Native ingredients and aromas intensify, transforming every dish into an exercise in empathy, inclusion, and cultural connection.

Querétaro launches its 2026 wine harvest season
For wine lovers, summer in the Bajío means harvest season celebrations. Querétaro’s Tourism Secretariat and the state’s Wine Cluster officially announced the beginning of the 2026 Vendimia Season, which will run from June through October along the famous Ruta del Arte, Queso y Vino.
The festival is expected to attract more than 400,000 visitors and generate significant economic benefits for local communities.
Querétaro remains Mexico’s leading producer and exporter of sparkling wine made using the traditional method, shipping thousands of cases annually to markets in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
More than 35 wineries and numerous artisan cheese producers will participate, offering:
- Traditional grape stomping ceremonies
- Harvest blessings
- Guided tastings
