Just 18 Casitas. That number is no accident: Aman doesn’t create masses, it creates intimacy. Each one measures 82 square meters and was built by artisans who applied the white concrete by hand, layer by layer.
The result is a space where stone, wood, and plaster do all the visual work, and where the terrace, the private heated pool, and the outdoor shower gently but constantly draw you outward. Toward the landscape.
“On the East Coast of Baja California, where the desert landscapes unfold until they meet the Sea of Cortez, there is an extraordinary sense of spaciousness, stillness, and natural rhythm,” says Vlad Doronin, Chairman & CEO of Aman Group.
At the table, the offerings are equally carefully curated. Four concepts under one roof: pasta at Arva, omakase for ten at Sesui, light fare at the Lounge Bar or The Pool, and Mexican cuisine cooked over an open fire with ocean views at Luma. When that’s not enough, there are private beachfront dinners and tasting menus that interpret the region like a gastronomic map of Baja.
Outside the resort, the Sea of Cortez and the Sierra de la Laguna mountains are the real menu. Dive with manta rays in Cabo Pulmo, fish for yellowfin tuna from a private boat, explore the mountains on horseback or in an off-road vehicle, and end the day around a bonfire.
