Supporters of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo mobilized this Sunday in public squares, auditoriums, and open spaces across the country to remotely join the message the president delivered from the Monument to the Revolution on the occasion of her second state of the nation address.

According to preliminary figures reported by civil protection authorities and organizers in various states, the largest gathering was in Mexico City, where an unofficial estimate of around 130,000 people attended. This was followed by the State of Mexico with 65,000 attendees, Veracruz with 45,000, Puebla with 30,000, Tamaulipas with 20,000, and Oaxaca with 18,000 supporters.

In other states such as Baja California, Sonora, Chiapas, Jalisco, Nayarit, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas, authorities reported the attendance of thousands of people, although they did not provide a definitive number. Meanwhile, approximately 19,000 people attended the events in Tabasco and Michoacán, 6,000 in Colima, and around 3,000 in Aguascalientes.

One of the events with the largest attendance took place in Tamaulipas, where nearly 20,000 people gathered at the Teatro del Pueblo (People’s Theater) in the Ciudad Victoria Fairgrounds to watch the presidential address.

In a festive atmosphere, accompanied by regional music, traditional dances, Mexican flags, and fireworks, attendees expressed their support for the head of the federal executive branch. The gathering brought together residents from all 43 municipalities of the state and was attended by Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya.

During his remarks, the governor highlighted citizen participation and the support of the people of Tamaulipas for the transformation project led by the president.

“Here, in an unprecedented event, all 43 municipalities of Tamaulipas, more than 17,000 Tamaulipas residents, gathered to hear this great humanist message of unity, sovereignty, freedom, independence, and social progress for all,” he stated during the live link to the national ceremony.

At the end of his address, Villarreal Anaya asked the attendees, “Can we do it, Tamaulipas?” to which thousands of voices responded in unison, “Of course we can!” while waving flags and chanting “President, President!”

The day confirmed the territorial mobilization capacity of Morena and its allies, as well as the continued support for President Claudia Sheinbaum in various regions of the country. In the case of Tamaulipas, the state ranked among those with the highest turnout nationwide, solidifying its position as one of the states with the broadest participation during the federal president’s accountability session.
