Every day more videos and testimonies appear from drivers and truckers denouncing alleged abuses and extortions during checkpoints on highways in the country.

Many claim to have been threatened with losing their cargo, forced to hand over money, or victims of alleged irregularities during inspections, such as planted drugs 🥴

If these reports are true, we are facing a very serious situation, because those who should be protecting citizens cannot become a source of fear for those who work and travel on Mexico’s highways.
