Personnel from the National Guard (GN) and the Mexican Army seized a significant arsenal, drugs, vehicles, and tactical equipment during an operation in the state of Durango.

According to information released by authorities, the seized items included a Barrett rifle, eight machine guns, 22 long guns, three handguns, two grenade launchers, and a grenade launcher attachment.

Additionally, 1,174 magazines, 36,488 rounds of live ammunition of various calibers, and various quantities of drugs were confiscated.

The operation also resulted in the recovery of 59 tactical helmets, 10 tactical vests, eight ballistic plates, six vehicles, and an ATV, all allegedly used by members of criminal groups.

All seized materials were turned over to the competent authorities, who will continue investigations to determine their origin and any potential links to organized crime activities.

Unofficial reports indicate that the seizure took place in the town of Praxedis Guerrero, the same location where a clash occurred on June 3 between armed civilians and the National Guard.
