Operational personnel from the Chihuahua State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) rescued four people traveling in a cargo truck in the community of Sisoguichi, Bocoyna, after the vehicle was swept away by a river current during rains on the night of Wednesday, June 17.
The four individuals were brought to safety without injury, thanks to the intervention of emergency personnel in the area.
Additionally, downed utility poles and trees were reported in Ciudad Juárez; a fallen tree and flooding occurred in Nuevo Casas Grandes; and minor flooding was reported in Casas Grandes following a storm with hail.
The CEPC warned that rains will continue in mountain region municipalities such as Guadalupe y Calvo, Moris, Chínipas, and Guazapares, where accumulations of up to 50 millimeters are forecast; moderate to scattered precipitation is also expected in municipalities including Madera, Temósachic, Ocampo, Uruachi, Urique, Batopilas, Morelos, Guachochi, Cusihuiriachi, and Cuauhtémoc.
