Following the directive issued by the Governor of Durango, Esteban Villegas Villarreal, the removal of window tint from official vehicles belonging to the Deputy Attorney General’s Office and the State Police will begin. This was announced by Juan Francisco Ángeles Zapata, Deputy Attorney General for Zone 1, Laguna Region, at the conclusion of the Security and Peacebuilding Roundtable meeting held in the City Hall Council Chamber of Gómez Palacio.
During his recent visit to the Laguna Region, the Governor announced that driving without license plates and with excessively tinted windows is prohibited in the state. This regulation also applies to vehicles belonging to the State Police and the State Attorney General’s Office.
“This is a direct order from the Governor, which must be followed. Failure to comply will result in administrative sanctions for all personnel within the security agencies,” he stated.
He reiterated that Governor Villegas’s directive stipulated that all vehicles used for security purposes must meet certain requirements. Otherwise, they will be sanctioned for an administrative matter.
The internal control body of each corresponding institution will be responsible for carrying out the corresponding reviews and monitoring compliance with the instructions issued by Villegas Villarreal.
