Coordination for the Querétaro-Irapuato Interurban Train is progressing in Salamanca. The Salamanca government continues its inter-institutional planning meetings for the passenger train project.
With the primary objective of continuing to work together for the development of the region, the Salamanca government participated in the Social Outreach Meeting for the Querétaro-Irapuato Interurban Train, as well as in a meeting focused on the construction of the station that will be located in Salamanca as part of this important infrastructure project.
At the meeting held regarding the construction of the station to be located in the municipality, representatives from various departments of RECOVI, the construction consortium responsible for Section III of the Passenger Train, presented the details and status of the project to Irma Leticia González Sánchez, head of the Guanajuato Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation, as well as to the heads of the Public Safety, Mobility, Civil Protection, Social Development, Territorial Planning, Urban Development, and Environment departments. Communication channels and support strategies for their work were also established.
They are following up on citizen concerns about the project.
Likewise, at the Social Outreach Meeting for the Interurban Train, held with federal and state authorities and representatives from the municipalities of Salamanca, Celaya, Irapuato, Cortazar, Villagrán, and Apaseo el Grande, they followed up on citizen questions and concerns arising from the project’s route and its potential impacts, with the goal of expediting its completion.
Municipal, state, and federal authorities held meetings with the construction consortium to review the project’s progress and coordinate actions for the future station in Salamanca.
Mayor César Prieto reaffirmed his commitment to intergovernmental collaboration and the advancement of this project, which will bring numerous benefits to mobility, connectivity, and economic growth in Salamanca.
