The long arm of the law has finally caught up with an alleged gang of highway cargo thieves accused of terrorizing truck drivers in the region. Officers from the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office (FGJEM) carried out a coordinated operation to execute arrest warrants against six men accused of participating in a violent express kidnapping to steal a cargo truck loaded with merchandise.
The suspects, identified by authorities as:
- Gerardo “N”
- Víctor Manuel “N”
- José de Jesús “N”
- Jesús “N”
- César Alan “N”
- Jesús Eleazar “N”
have been transferred to a state correctional facility, where they remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities while legal proceedings continue.
Armed ambush and express kidnapping
According to the investigation, the events took place on May 4, 2026, near the Santa María Guadalupe neighborhood. A man and a woman were traveling in a white box truck transporting cargo when they were intercepted.
Authorities reported that a gray vehicle blocked the truck’s path, forcing it to stop. Three of the suspects—Jesús Eleazar “N,” José de Jesús “N,” and César Alan “N”—allegedly exited the vehicle carrying firearms.
The victims were threatened at gunpoint. Investigators state that José de Jesús “N” and César Alan “N” then boarded the cargo truck, while the driver and passenger were forced into the back seat of the gray vehicle, which was allegedly driven by Gerardo “N” with Víctor Manuel “N” as an accomplice.

Victims were later released
According to the investigation, after being held against their will and robbed of their belongings, the victims were abandoned on streets in Cuautitlán Izcalli. The suspects allegedly fled with the truck and its cargo.
Following the investigation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office gathered evidence that led to the identification of the six suspects and obtained arrest warrants from a judge.
Authorities emphasized that the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a final court judgment.
The State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office (FGJEM) also invited anyone who believes they may have been a victim of these individuals to report the incident through its official reporting channels.
