The national registry increased from 73.2 million linked lines on August 19 to 80.9 million as of September 3. The block ending in “1” reached a compliance rate of 83.4%, the CRT said.
The mobile telephone registry added approximately 7.7 million linked lines in 15 days, as the staggered schedule established by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (CRT) advances to associate users’ identities with their cellular numbers.
As of September 3, the authority had counted 80.9 million linked lines, equivalent to 67.4% of the total it expects to incorporate into the national registry.

The figure represents an increase from the 73.2 million lines and 60.5% compliance reported on August 19, when the first stage corresponding to telephone numbers ending in “0” had been completed.
The second block also showed a higher percentage of registration. Of the 11,452,897 lines ending in “1” that the CRT estimates must be registered, a total of 9,550,278 have already completed the process, equivalent to 83.4%.
By comparison, the first block reached a registration rate of 78.9% among lines ending in “0”.
The difference between the two groups is therefore 4.5 percentage points.
More than 1 million lines had their service restored
The CRT also reported that 1,162,793 lines ending in “1” that had been suspended have already been reactivated after their users completed the registration process.
The authority expects to complete the reactivation of approximately 1.9 million additional lines belonging to this block in the coming days.
In addition, the CRT estimates that approximately 2.5 million unused lines ending in “1” will be removed from the registry.
Nationwide, the CRT estimates that approximately 25 million lines will be removed because they are no longer in use.
These include chips given away as part of packages that were never activated, SIM cards used by temporary visitors, and lines acquired for promotional purposes.
The schedule will continue with lines ending in “2,” whose deadline will be September 15.
The next deadlines are for numbers ending in “3,” on September 30; “4,” on October 15; and “5,” on October 31, continuing in the same manner until the process concludes with the digit “9” on December 31.
