Buying, selling, or renting a home with greater certainty and security is the goal of the “Your Real Estate License Starts Here” program, through which the Baja California government is promoting the professionalization of real estate agents with free training and scholarships to obtain their first state license, Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda announced.
The governor emphasized that through a collaboration agreement between the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and the Baja California State Council of Real Estate Professionals (CEPIBC), the state government is covering the cost of this training process, offering 100 scholarships to individuals working in the real estate sector who do not yet have their state license.
“We want to continue strengthening the real estate sector with agents who are prepared and committed to best practices in service, ethics, and legality. Each transaction represents much more than a financial transaction; it represents the assets, dreams, and security of the families who place their trust in those who advise them,” the governor stated.
The head of the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Honold Morales, explained that this joint strategy with CEPIBC consists of a 40-hour online course, allowing interested individuals from across the state to participate without having to travel.
“Registering real estate agents lends greater credibility to their work, strengthens public trust, and distinguishes them for their best practices, in addition to ensuring they have the necessary training to provide professional and legally compliant service,” the state official noted.
The program began in June and will continue with new groups in August and November, through a 40-hour basic course required by law to obtain a state license. Each group has a maximum capacity, so it is necessary to register early to secure participation.
The official invited those interested in obtaining their state registration to visit the State Government’s Digital Window or request information by email: [email protected].
