Mayor Mauricio Trejo officially announced the arrival of Home Depot to San Miguel de Allende with an investment exceeding $20 million. Construction of the store will begin in August 2026.
The project will be located on Camino a Alcocer, in the upper part of the city. The company modified its institutional image and corporate colors to respect the identity of the World Heritage City.
“I want to thank Home Depot, a global company, for adapting to San Miguel de Allende in terms of colors, design, and sustainability,” he remarked.
For this reason, Mauricio Trejo emphasized that Home Depot adapted the building’s design. The project prioritizes conservation, mobility, water, and sustainability, as well as integrating into the urban environment.
Furthermore, the new branch will generate jobs for residents of San Miguel de Allende. This investment is part of the announcement made in 2025 to open three new stores in Guanajuato.
Finally, Guanajuato will receive an investment of over 1.2 billion pesos for new branches in San Miguel de Allende, León, and Guanajuato City. The project will strengthen the state’s economic development.
