Hundreds of Spanish national team fans gathered in Mexico City to celebrate La Roja’s historic second World Cup victory.

The epicenter of the celebration was the iconic Cibeles Fountain, located in the Roma Norte neighborhood, an exact replica of the Madrid monument where major football milestones are traditionally celebrated.

The chant “They want to fly!” is back!

After the dramatic extra-time victory against Argentina, euphoria erupted in the Mexican capital. A vibrant crowd, comprised of both the Spanish community residing in the country and Mexicans, united in a single roar to recognize the titanic effort of the team led by Luis de la Fuente.

Amid flags, chants, and red jerseys, Mexico City was awash in the colors of the new world champions.
