A number of vehicles were recovered during an operation at an illicit site located between the municipalities of Mineral de la Reforma and Epazoyucan, Hidalgo, where a storage facility for stolen cargo vehicles was allegedly operating.

The seizure followed a raid resulting from intelligence and investigative work by state and federal authorities, who located the property used to conceal semi-trucks, flatbed trailers, dry van trailers, and heavy machinery.

During the operation, authorities recovered a Caterpillar excavator, three semi-trucks, four dry van trailers, 22 flatbed trailers, and three converter dollies—totaling 33 units linked to ongoing investigations into the theft of federal commercial vehicles.

In addition to the vehicles, 887 doses of marijuana and 40 doses of a substance resembling crystal methamphetamine were found on the premises and taken into custody by judicial authorities.

The seized units have been turned over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue the investigation and identify the criminal network involved in the theft and storage of cargo vehicles in this area of the state.

This seizure is notable for the volume of recovered units—particularly the 22 flatbed trailers—making it one of the most significant recent recoveries related to commercial vehicle theft in Hidalgo.
