With an emotional awards ceremony and closing breakfast, the 2026 edition of the Desert Rally Coahuila 1000 came to an end this Sunday in the city of Monclova, where the finish line was located.
It was on Sunday morning that state and municipal authorities, as well as representatives of Canaco, awarded the best drivers in each category, as well as this year’s overall winner, Mexico City native Mauricio Reynoso.
It is worth highlighting that one million pesos was distributed among all the categories of this off-road competition, one of the most important in Mexico, which featured national, local, and international competitors.
In the Rookie category, Emilio Velázquez took first place, followed by Marco Antonio Ferman, while José Francisco Rodríguez finished in third place.
Meanwhile, in Sportsman, Leonicio Reynoso was the winner, followed by Rodrigo Reynosa, with Mario Garrido finishing third. In Pro Moto, Mauricio Reynoso took first place, followed by Cristopher Suberville, while Yanick Cuello finished third.
In Class 5 1600, Edson Valenzuela took first place, followed by José de Jesús Monsivais in second, while Rubén Garza finished third.
Meanwhile, in Class 12, Miguel Pablo took first place, followed by Roberto Alcántara in second, while Mario Briones finished third.
In Class 17, Oswaldo Navarro took first place, second went to Salomón Ayub, and Adrián Cisneros finished third.
In Class 5 Unlimited, Ramiro Hernández took first place, followed by Juan Carlos Flores, while Claudia Hernández finished third.
In Class 10, Juan González finished first, followed by Rodolfo Martínez, while Sergio Márquez took third place. In Class 1, Carlos Lostanau took first place, José Ruelas finished second, and Miguel Olmos came in third.
In UTV NA, Oscar Alvidrez was the winner, followed by Emmanuel Colunga in second and Homero Alvidrez in third.
In UTV Turbo, the honors went to Jesús Quintero, second place went to Heriberto Cardona, and third place went to Carlos Mendoza.
The UTV Pro category was won by Jairo Salazar, with Alexandro Gutiérrez finishing second and Joel Caballero in third.
The awards ceremony was conducted by state and municipal authorities. At the end, the Overall winner, Mauricio Reynoso, a driver from Mexico City, was also recognized.
