Milena Quiroga Romero, a candidate seeking to coordinate the work of the Fourth Transformation in Baja California Sur, issued a strong call to strengthen the presence of women in decision-making positions.

Under the slogan “it is the time of women,” she said that despite facing smear campaigns, intimidation, and attacks, she will continue visiting municipalities and strengthening the transformation project through close engagement with communities and results.

“It is the time of women, to continue opening spaces and demonstrating through our work that we have the ability to be wherever we want to be,” she said.

Quiroga emphasized that Claudia Sheinbaum’s arrival to the Presidency of Mexico marked a historic moment for women and opened the way for new generations to aspire to positions of responsibility.

“They Will Not Silence Us,” She Says Following Attacks

Quiroga Romero also said that she will continue visiting municipalities throughout Baja California Sur and working closely with residents despite the smear campaigns, intimidation, and attacks she says she has faced.

The candidate said she will not respond to provocations and will instead keep her focus on community work and results.

“They will not silence us, and we will not fall into provocations. We will respond the way we know how: through work and by staying close to the people. Baja California Sur is not inherited; it is built through work,” she said.

Quiroga Envisions a Baja California Sur With More Opportunities

Finally, Milena Quiroga once again recognized the women who create opportunities every day from their homes, communities, and workplaces, and said she will continue promoting a state with greater opportunities and equality.

“That is the legacy we have to build: a Baja California Sur where women can go as far as their abilities and dreams allow,” she concluded.
