U.S. Attorney Todd Blanche issued a warning that reignited tensions between Washington and Claudia Sheinbaum’s government: the accusations against Mexican officials would not end with the case of Rubén Rocha Moya.
In an interview with NewsNation, Blanche confirmed that the United States could bring new charges against Mexican politicians and officials allegedly linked to drug cartels.
The official explained that several Mexican criminal leaders transferred to the United States over the past year might decide to cooperate with U.S. authorities, and that such cooperation could lead to new charges against Mexican officials.
