One person died and two others were injured following an attack by a pack of dogs early this morning near the Héroes residential complex in the municipality of Tizayuca, Hidalgo.
The local Secretariat of Citizen Security reported that, while on patrol, police officers responded to a report of two men allegedly attacked by a pack of dogs near a concrete plant.
Upon searching the area, they found two injured men and a third who showed no signs of life; the scene was immediately cordoned off, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office was notified.
The agency stated that it is maintaining a presence and conducting surveillance in the area while coordinating with the relevant authorities to prevent further attacks.
Meanwhile, local residents noted that this issue had previously been reported and that they had repeatedly called for action to address the problem, attributing responsibility to individuals who fail to properly care for or spay/neuter their pets.
