After a report of alleged tire-puncturing devices on the Puebla–Orizaba highway in both directions, personnel from the National Guard Highway Division became aware of the situation and carried out a security operation. The incident reportedly occurred in Puebla.
On the afternoon of Thursday, September 3, a report circulated on social media stating that on the Puebla–Orizaba and Orizaba–Puebla sections of the highway, between kilometers 262 and 260, there were alleged tire-puncturing devices. As a result, personnel from the National Guard Highway Division, Orizaba Station, immediately began a security operation to locate the reported situation.
After patrolling the section between kilometers 262 and 260, no affected vehicles were detected. Although it was reported that at least nine vehicles may have been affected, none were located. However, it was suggested that some objects or pieces may have fallen from a heavy cargo vehicle transporting scrap metal.
Although some images of the allegedly affected vehicles circulated on social media, it is known that the incident reportedly occurred in the Amozoc section, in the State of Puebla, although preventive security patrols were carried out.
In response to this type of report, citizens are asked to make reports through emergency telephone numbers, since reports circulating on social media are not always entirely reliable.
