Tecomán business owners seek to bring local products to Europe.

The business sector in Tecomán should seek new markets for agricultural products and take advantage of international marketing opportunities, said Óscar Ávalos Verduzco, representative in the municipality of the Council of Business Chambers of the State of Colima.

During his swearing-in as a council member of the organization, Ávalos Verduzco highlighted the potential of Colima’s agricultural products and pointed out that one of the challenges is ensuring that they reach new markets.

As an example, he mentioned the work he carries out through the company Camparte, with which he seeks to add value to agricultural products and expand their presence outside the country.

He reported that they will soon participate in one of the most important international fresh produce fairs in Spain, with the aim of promoting Colima products in the European market. “Today, Colima’s businesspeople know how to do things very well,” he stated.

Ávalos Verduzco considered that local businesspeople have the capacity to enter other markets, but it is necessary to strengthen confidence and invest in projects that allow markets for regional products to be expanded.

He noted that exports represent an alternative for strengthening productive activities and generating new growth opportunities for businesses in Tecomán and throughout the state.
