Emergency due to river overflow in Tabasco and Chiapas

Cold front number 8 has caused intense rain

During cold front number 8, the Teapa and La Sierra rivers overflowed in Tabasco, while Chiapas was affected by flooding and sinkholes due to the intense rains this week.

The Chiapas municipalities affected were Sabanilla, Pichucalco, Chilón and Salto de Agua. In Sabanilla, road sections of the Buena Vista and Los Monos roads were affected. In Pichucalco, about 50 homes were flooded by the overflowing of the Chalatenango stream.

In Tabasco, the increase in rivers generated interruptions in the roads that connect communities in Tacotalpa, as well as evacuations and damaged homes in other municipalities.
