El “Jardinero”, the successor of “Mencho” with multiple nicknames, arrests and releases

Audias Flores Silva was imprisoned for five years in the United States and was later detained in Mexico, but in 2019 he was released

Originally from Michoacán, Audias Flores Silva, the “Jardinero” or “Comandante”, “Bravo 2”, “Audi”, “Mata Jefes”, is considered the successor of the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes el “Mencho.”

Born in Huetamo, one of the municipalities of the turbulent Tierra Caliente in Michoacán, Flores Silva served as head of security for “Mencho” and later took charge of Nayarit, responsible for the production and transfer of synthetic drugs to the United States.

Also identified as Gabriel Raigosa Plascencia, the “Jardinero” moves between the states of Jalisco and Nayarit, where, according to Mexican authorities, he operates large “drug laboratories” for the production of methamphetamines.

Who is the boss who escaped from the operation in Zapopan?

The DEA sees it difficult for Mexican cartels to lose control of cocaine and fentanyl trafficking to the United States, since there are no other trafficking groups “positioned to challenge them” in the short term.

For the United States Department of Justice, Flores Silva controls illicit activities along much of the Mexican Pacific coast where Mexico’s most important commercial ports with Asia are located: Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas.

Flores Silva was imprisoned for five years in the United States, where he served a sentence for drug trafficking.

After his release, he returned to Mexico and in 2016 he was arrested for the murder of 15 members of the Fuerza Única in the town of Soyatlán, Jalisco.

However, in 2019 “El Jardinero” left the defunct federal prison in Puente Grande, Jalisco, after reversing the accusations against him.
