MAZATLAN.- A total of 12 cruise ships will arrive in Mazatlán during the month of December, to begin the high season, especially for local merchants, restaurateurs and transporters.

The Administration of the National Port System in Mazatlán, Asipona, has an arrival record of 12 cruise ships, some days they will even receive two at a time. The first to inaugurate the month will be the Koningsdam cruise this coming Friday, December 1.

Once again Koningsdam will arrive on the 10th from San Diego and heading to the port of Loreto, in Baja California Sur. On the 13th the Carnival Panorama will arrive; Later on December 16 it will be Norwegian Bliss’s turn.

In the week of the 18th to the 24th there will be more movement, especially on the 18th with the arrival of two cruise ships: Crown Princess and Volendam that will come from the port of Topolobampo with 1,400 passengers with an average of 600 crew members. Carnival Panorama will arrive on the 20th.

The last week of December, which corresponds to the 25th to the 31st, will be the one with the highest number of arrivals since the arrival of five cruise ships is expected: the 25th will be the turn of Navigator Of The Sea; Discovery Princess will arrive on the 26th; Carnival Panorama on the 27th and 28th will close the month with Norwegian Bliss and Volendam.

So far in 2023, 115 cruises have been received with more than 420 thousand passengers, as reported by Martín Ochoa López, Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries of Mazatlán, Sedectur.
