Tulum.- Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa inaugurated the Hotel Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club, which, with 326 rooms, generates 500 direct jobs and nearly 2,000 indirect jobs and reflects the confidence of investors in Quintana Roo, especially in Tulum, which grows rapidly.
Accompanied by Fabián Gómez Sáenz, president of the Sunset Tulum Board, and Jorge Pérez, president and CEO Related Group, Governor Mara Lezama highlighted that, without a doubt, this hotel will be merged with the most important work of this century in the railway field, the Mayan Train, and the Tulum international airport that opens on December 1.
“This government will continue to be a facilitator of good investment, of sustainable and growth, always for the benefit of citizens,” she said.
In addition, Mara Lezama expressed her confidence that this tourist success will be reflected in shared prosperity in the pockets and tables of the workers, who always with a smile on their faces serve the thousands and thousands of tourists who come to the city every year to Quintana Roo. She highlighted that this is how the New Agreement for Well-being and Development is reflected, with the sum of efforts to achieve deep transformation.
The governor of Quintana Roo thanked Grupo Santa Fe for investing, for generating sources of employment, for thinking about its collaborators, for contributing to improving the quality of life of the people of Quintana Roo, who make it possible for our State to continue strengthening as the most competitive tourist destination in Latin America.
She pointed out that in the first three quarters of the year, Quintana Roo leads in Foreign Direct Tourism Investment by attracting 675.6 million dollars, according to data from the Ministry of Economy.
During the official opening of the hotel, the inaugural ribbon was cut, a statue was unveiled, the welcoming words of the municipal president Diego Castañón, the presentation of reasons by Fabián Gómez and the allusive words of Jorge Pérez were heard.
