Walking through the cool Historic Center of our home, Durango, in a calm manner, will now be a reality, with the first stage of the rehabilitation of sidewalks that is about to conclude, reported Mayor Toño Ochoa.
With an investment of 4.5 million pesos, Public Works has worked on the reconstruction and expansion of quarry sidewalks on Bruno Martínez Street, between Negrete and 20 de Noviembre, as well as Juárez Street, between 5 de Febrero and Pino Suárez.
He recalled that ramps were also replaced on 20 de Noviembre Avenue, the Cathedral and the Plaza de Armas, so that Durango is inclusive, as well as cool and orderly; Therefore, in 2024 the second stage will continue with 1.8 million pesos.
In a supervision tour, Javier Chávez Cibrián, director of Public Works, explained that, although the norm establishes 1.50 meters, they expanded the sidewalks to almost two meters, in attention to people with disabilities, passage of strollers and citizens in general.
