San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.- With the entry of December, the government of San Miguel de Allende already has the list of events ready that will begin with the lighting of the tree, next December 8 in the main square and will continue with the Festival of Winter.
“It is one of the objectives of unity, of bringing together all the people of San Miguel, that they also value, that they see how beautiful San Miguel is, how beautiful we are taking care of it, but above all that we are part of it, that the locals themselves do and apart they lend their culture, their tradition to all visitors and all tourists of San Miguel de Allende,” said Tania Castillo, director of Economic Development and Tourism.
She pointed out that the events are focused so that they can experience them with their families, their close friends, “who experience it themselves and the word spreads among them, for everyone to generate this community that we are in San Miguel de Allende.”
For the lighting of the tree, the municipal president Mauricio Trejo will lead the event on December 8 at exactly 7:00 pm on the esplanade of the main garden; Like every year, the tree will be decorated with handmade brass stars, which today cover the sky at the entrances to the main square. For those attending this event there will be tamales, atole and bonuses.
The city will also host the San Miguel y sus Sabores festival, from December 15 to 17 in Benito Juárez Park. On this occasion, the gastronomic exhibitions of the best restaurants in San Miguel de Allende will be dedicated entirely to typical December food.
In addition, from December 15 to January 5, 2024, the new Winter Festival will take place, where you can enjoy Christmas concerts, ballet performances and the unique Christmas carols, all of this not only in the first frame of the city but also from various points of the municipality.
