Querétaro could be the headquarters of the first Embassy for Extraterrestrials created by the Raelian Movement, a religious-type organization, whose proposal arises within the framework of an international competition in which various Mexican and world cities are already registered.
From 2019 to the present year, the movement has launched a diplomatic initiative with the purpose of coordinating an international conference, in which the representatives have the opportunity to nominate their countries by signing the Agreement of the Protocol of the Extraterrestrial Embassy.
The location analysis of the site selected among the members of the community of this movement will be carried out in 2025. Until then, several Mexican cities have expressed their interest in being the headquarters of this consulate, among them Los Cabos, Baja California; Campeche, Campeche; and Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. However, Querétaro stands out as a prominent candidate to be the base of this diplomatic representation.
“Querétaro is developing rapidly. It is the headquarters of the Mexican Space Agency. Querétaro has the necessary infrastructure to develop a project of this magnitude, as it is also contemplated that in the surroundings of the Embassy, Cientópolis, a city formed by scientists and scientific companies from all over the world, whose achievements will belong to all humanity,” said Pablo Hernández Morales, coordinator of Public Relations of the Raelian Movement Mexican.
