These are the university degrees that are no longer recommended to study in Mexico

The National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES) published a report that analyzes the supply and demand of higher education in Mexico, and identifies the careers that have the lowest and highest demand in the country.

According to the report, the careers that have the lowest demand are those related to the humanities, social sciences, and arts, such as philosophy, history, literature, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and fine arts. These careers have a low enrollment rate, a high dropout rate, and a low employability rate.

On the other hand, the careers that have the highest demand are those related to the natural sciences, engineering, and health, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, medicine, nursing, and dentistry. These careers have a high enrollment rate, a low dropout rate, and a high employability rate.

The report also indicates that the careers that have the highest income are those related to the business and administration fields, such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, and economics. These careers have a high return on investment, as they offer competitive salaries and opportunities for professional development.

The report concludes that the current supply and demand of higher education in Mexico does not match the needs and expectations of the labor market and the society, and that there is a need to diversify and update the educational offer, as well as to improve the quality and relevance of the educational programs.
