The 49th edition of the Tianguis Turístico México 2025 will take place in Tijuana, as announced by the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, who also stated that the decision was made by the strong air connectivity that the city has with the United States, its largest tourist emitter.
Torruco pointed out that in Tijuana the Tianguis will be able to break the record of the previous editions with the highest attendance of tour operators from the USA and Canada, which is the second source market of international tourists to Mexico.
Likewise, they expect the presence of Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore and European and South American travel agents.
To designate the Tianguis Turístico México 2025, the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) convened the tourism organizations of the private sector that are part of the Selection Committee. The states of Baja California, Nuevo León and Puebla registered for the call.
In November the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) backtracked on the decision to cancel the Tianguis Turístico de 2024 in Acapulco, revealing that the event will take place in this destination, although the date was changed, since originally it was going to be from March 11 to 15, and it has been set for April 8 to 12, 2024.
