Sinaloa.- The beaches of Mazatlan are among the best in the country, not only for their beauty and tourist attraction, but also for their quality and safety for bathers.
This was confirmed by the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Óscar Pérez Barros, who announced that four beaches in the port received the Platinum Beach certification, which is the highest distinction granted by the Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification (IMNC).
The beaches that obtained this recognition are: Norte, Gaviotas, Camarón Sábalo and Delfín, which met the requirements of water quality, environmental education and management, safety and services, and environmental management.
Pérez Barros highlighted that this achievement is the result of the joint work of the three levels of government, the private initiative and the civil society, who have been concerned about preserving the natural resources and offering a quality service to the visitors.
He also pointed out that Mazatlan is the only destination in Mexico that has four beaches with this certification, which places it as a national leader in beach quality and safety.
He added that this will be an important incentive to attract more tourists to the port, especially those who are looking for destinations that guarantee respect for the environment and the health of the visitors.
