When thinking about the millionaire families of Mexico, perhaps some of the first options that may come to mind are those of Carlos Slim or the Hank, as their members are on the 2023 list of the richest according to Forbes. However, there are other dynasties, such as a very important one in Querétaro that cannot go unnoticed.
According to data from the Ministry of Economy, this entity of the country had international sales of 15,534 million dollars in 2022 and both the United States and China are the main buyers of the region.
Likewise, according to the State Competitiveness Index (IMCO) 2023, Querétaro is in the second place on the list, only one place below Mexico City, as it improved in the financial sector and also improved its perception of state corruption.
In addition, it is positioned in third place in infrastructure and in innovation it is among the highest places, so all these factors together make the entity a suitable place for entrepreneurs.
The process resulted in a consensus among the shareholders on the preferred alternative and a merger with Coca-Cola FEMSA. As a result of the merger, Grupo Fomento Queretano shareholders received 45.1 million series L KOF shares for a total added enterprise value of approximately MXN $7.6 billion (US $580 million).
