Oaxaca de Juárez.- Due to the increase in cases of respiratory infections and Covid-19, Oaxaca schools have suspended work, while others demand the mandatory use of masks, despite the fact that the Health Services of Oaxaca (SSO) do not consider the use of this as necessary.

At the Technical Secondary School number 120 and at the primary school “Adolfo López Mateos” in San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec, 98 rapid tests of Covid-19 and influenza were applied; so far, the results have not been released.

Meanwhile, due to the absence of students, the Secondary School number 64, in the capital of the state, stopped work, after about 50 cases of students with infectious conditions; to this is added the secondary school “Moisés Sáenz Garza”, which asked the entire student, academic and administrative population, to resume the use of masks and antibacterial gel, in addition to an exhaustive review at the entrance.

Yesterday, the governor of the state, Salomón Jara Cruz, denied that there is saturation in public hospitals due to cases of Covid-19, after it was reported that according to the Information System of the IRAG Network Severe Acute Respiratory Infection, saturation is reported in the General Hospital of Puerto Escondido, the Pochutla hospital and the Civil Hospital “Dr. Aurelio Valdivieso”.
